Do I need to replace the batteries on my biological clock? Why isn’t it ticking? I’m still waiting for the day that I’ll wake up and decide that I’m ready to handle a screaming beautiful bundle of joy. I figured it would have happened by now. It’s possible that I spent the first 26 years of my life waiting and wanting them so badly that it wore me out. Just like a baby would. Oh how life changes.
P.S. Is it nap-time yet?Since I don’t have to worry about making any party decorations for my own children quite yet, I get excited to make things for my friends and family. When my friend Aimee told me she was thinking of throwing her one year old a Nautical themed birthday party, I jumped on board (see what I did there?). I can’t imagine having to make all this stuff while trying to keep a baby occupied. All I have to do is drink wine and make sure my fat cat has food. We found a couple cute ideas on Pinterest (the silverware rings), came up with goodie bag ideas (beach balls, sunglasses, and these treat tags with goldfish crackers), and I got to work on the rest. I made a “Happy Birthday” Banner that you can print here, and I put together a little nautical highchair tray banner. I love how we did the guest book! I made these tags, cut them out, and strung them on a ring filled with ribbon. I framed this print to sit with the tags (boy) (girl). Now she’ll always have a small keepsake from his first birthday!
