Hello Monday, goodbye weekend! I know I speak for all of us when I say that we wish we had more time off. My time would be very well spent, thank you very much. This weekend I completed several crafts (which, of course, I plan to blog about this week), I drank one bottle of wine (it’s only four glasses, come on), and ate three pieces of cookie dough (who has time to bake it). I mean, if that doesn’t sum up a wild & crazy weekend, I don’t know what does. Oh, and I almost forgot: I had the most life-changing sandwich. It was Heaven on Earth. Or at least what I imagine Heaven to be. Because let me just tell you, it would NOT be Heaven without this sandwich.
Before my life changed forever, I was just crafting away, thinking that life would always be as great as it had been. If I had known what was ahead of me, I never would have wasted my Saturday night making these Valentine cards. I mean, I could have had that sandwich a day earlier! What was I thinking?
Anyway, the good news is that I joined a Valentine Snail Mail event this year, so I’m sure the recipients will be happy I didn’t try that sandwich until Sunday. If they could taste the fabulousness that was that sandwich, they would not want these pathetic little cards. They’d ask why I didn’t send them a sandwich sample. Sorry, I’m not sorry. I ate it all.
I also had seen these envelopes on Pinterest (shocker), and thought I could re-create them a little easier. I used felt to create my own little felt envelopes (shown in first photo). Since I cannot fit a sandwich inside, I guess I’ll have to settle for a love note or two.

Oh my gosh, forgot you’re in the area! I ordered the Bill Walsh, just turkey, avocado, and havarti on Dutch Crunch (and added honey mustard – my downfall). It was fabulous – I am telling you, if you like sandwiches, its a must stop. 🙂
Sandwiches are maybe my favorite food.
Between sandwiches and cheeseburgers, I could never decide. But the two are above and beyond heaven in my world. What would you say your favorite sandwich is in this area? Have you been to Jersey Mike’s?! Love that place. And Ace of Sandwiches in Palo Alto is really good too (and I believe there’s still a Groupon for it right now).
My favorite favorite favorite place is in SF- Marina Subs. But it’s what I grew up with so I’m partial. Next up is Lee’s which is all Vietnamese sandwiches but I hear San Jose has some good places for those.
