Inevitably, my husband will ask me this question every night that he’s home for dinner. Somehow he thinks that while I am busy working away at a real job all day long (you know, one that provides us with a paycheck), that I have time to come up with a full dinner plan. Until this blog starts giving me a little TLC reciprocation, I must punch the time card, and he’s stuck with last minute dinners.
Which is why I am all about being easy. I mean…easy cooking. I like to get home and throw some things in a pan and end up with something delicious. Does that sound easy to you? I didn’t think so. Short of what my husband says, everything I make is NOT delicious. At least he’s a smart man to lie. He would starve otherwise.
Before you go any further, you must accept that I eat all of those horrible products that you may think I’m crazy for eating. GMOs, pre-packaged foods, and please do not even get me started on Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. I love it. Yellow dye #6 has nothing on that creamy fake-cheese taste.
This recipe is super easy, and tastes great. And if you’re feeling really adventurous, make the Spanish rice from scratch. And then invite me over for dinner so I can compare the two.
Tell me, what are you having for dinner? (I’m channeling my husband)

Yummmm! Why does it sound like your husband and my fiancé are the same man? I can make something awful and he still inhales it and praises its glory when he finishes lol. Anyway, this look great! I’m going to have to try it!
Oh my gosh they are the same! I always tell Brendan that he better start being honest or he’s going to be full of miserable food for the rest of his life!
Looks delicious! Tonight is seafood night. Shrimp and scallop stuffed shells for me.
Yum!!!!! Do you have a recipe you follow?! It sounds amazing!
There’s a really good fish market nearby that makes them. They’re really good and inexpensive.
Yum!!! Well I’m jealous! 🙂
this looks awesome–definitely gonna try it. yum! tonight, though, I’m about to have wine and peanuts on a flight home from a long day of meetings. wah-wah
Well the wine sounds amazing! 🙂
SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! Kraft Mac and Cheese is MY FAVORITEEEEEE!
This looks delicious! I may have to make this next week!
I mean, is there anything better!? I have yet to find it if there is!
Nope! I had mac and cheese this weekend at the steakhouse, but it just wasn’t the same.
Haha “which is why I’m all about being easy” ! Tooo funny. I will use this recipe. I am clean out of ideas foodwise, so thank you.
You’re welcome. I am going to have to start making recipes for four for you. 😉
Yes! You will be my go to!
I’ll just add it to my list of things to start working on. Right after Twin Baby Shower. 😉
Gimme gimme right now.
Perfect with a box of wine. 😉
This looks delicious and so healthy!! I am definitely going to be making this dish next week. Thank you for sharing!!
It was really tasty! Although I must say I love hot sauce so I added a lot which gave it a different flavor! 🙂
My husband loves hot sauce as well. He usually puts so much on his food that he begins to sweat. It’s fun to watch! He’ll love this dish:)
Yum! Your creative recipe posts leave me wishing I could still drive 30 seconds down the street for an impromptu dinner, a few glasses of wine, and an SVU marathon ❤️
Ugh I wish that every day. 🙁
If I’m lucky, a can of heated up Chef Barf-r-Dee. It’s #pitmad time for us writers, and I can’t tear myself away from the computer. It’s like a car accident, but in a good way.
Hahaha “rubber neckers” who can’t pull their eyes away from the accidents. We have way too many of those on the roads up here.
