And just like that, I’m back. Back to the grind, back to the desk. Back to the Bay, back to my fat cat! I spent quite a bit of time relaxing on the beaches of south Florida and the Virgin Islands. I’m jealous of my own life right now, wishing I was still sitting on said beaches with a cocktail in my hand. I can’t even look at my own Instagram without feeling a little bit of beach envy.

I am the first person to tell you that I am one lucky traveler. I don’t ever take a trip for granted; I try to enjoy every second of every vacation we are blessed enough to take. Even when we were in the middle of a hurricane in Playa. Even when my cell phone was magically whisked away in the back of a cab in Mazatlan. Even when it’s a lightning storm on the beaches of Florida. You don’t always get the best luck, but being there in the first place is such an amazing life experience, you can’t take it for granted.

That being said, I had quite a serious experience on my most recent trip to Florida. Let’s just say that I had a blatant reminder that life is short. Hug your husbands tighter, kiss your children more, and tell your family how much you love them. You never know when you’ll get another chance.

Because of that experience, I tried to take a little extra time to thank God for everything in my life. Because I’m a huge fan of daily affirmations, I wanted to create something that would remind me to live life to the fullest. You may have seen my Police Officer Bible Printables a few weeks back, and thought to yourself, “Gee, I wish I had my own Bible printables.” (Or at least in my dreams that’s what you thought). So for the rest of you, I created another set. This time they’re just a generalized set of uplifting, supportive Bible verses. Some are perfect for your spouse, some are perfect for your friends. Leave them around the house, the office, or even send them in the mail.

Wow. What an amazing idea. I love the fact how you keep reminding everyone not to take things for granted 🙂 So true isn’t it. We never know what tomorrow holds for us..
And I can toootally relate to that sinking feeling in your stomach when you wake up in the familiar pillow in your bedroom and reality hits you so badly that you know you would not be listening to the beach waves, not gonna do any cliff walk and no mountains around to bug your hubby saying “the mountains are calling and I must go” 🙁 We just came back after an amazing roadtrip covering the whole New England area and a few other states too and it just sucks being back to your old base 🙁 All I can do nowadays is go through the photos and recollect every teeny bit of detail and wishing we were one of those couples who is always on the road 😛

One of my favorite things we get to give our girls One of my favorite things we get to give our girls is perspective. To see new places. To meet different people. To experience cultures outside of their own.

Not so they grow up thinking one place is “better” than another — but so they grow up curious, grateful, and grounded. And the more of the world we see, the more thankful I become for home, for the freedoms we have, and for the life we get to build together.

I might be the world’s worst “influencer,” because I might be the world’s worst “influencer,” because I’m here to tell you this: you do not need a whole new wardrobe for vacation.

Social media makes it feel like every trip requires new outfits, a new summer closet, a new date-night dress…but honestly? It doesn’t.

I’m willing to bet you already have plenty of great options hanging in your closet. And instead of spending a bunch of money on clothes you’ll probably only wear once, maybe it’s enough to just wear what you already love.
One day, instead of hearing little feet running th One day, instead of hearing little feet running through the house all day, I’ll be leaving voicemails hoping they call me back when they have time.

The sticky fingerprints will wash away, the car seats will come out, bedtime routines will end, and the house that once felt so loud will get quieter little by little.

It’s strange how the things that exhaust you in the moment become the very things you ache for later. 🤍

Don’t get me wrong, if it were in the budget you better believe it’s worth it. I am not advocating for giving them LESS, I’m just advocating for staying within your families budget. And maybe if we see more of these easy little inexpensive gifts, we can make it more acceptable to gift within budget. Because that’s what it’s all about.

What’s that saying? It’s the thought that counts.
I’ve been seeing so many reels lately saying that I’ve been seeing so many reels lately saying that Mother’s Day is only for moms with small children. I couldn’t disagree more. To me, Mother’s Day is not just about me. It’s about the women who helped shape me, as a mother, a woman, a friend. It’s about my friends who help me be a better mother, even if they don’t have little kids themselves. It’s about my own mother, who is the biggest inspiration for me, to be a better mother myself. It’s about the many generations before me that allowed me to be a mother at all. It’s about every woman in my life that loves me and my girls as if they’re their own. That’s who I’ll be celebrating this Mother’s Day.

What are your kids always finding for you?
There’s something rare about being fully known and There’s something rare about being fully known and still fully loved. No shrinking yourself. No editing your personality.
Just being met where you are. That kind of friendship changes you.

Unpopular opinion: kids don’t need more stuff. The Unpopular opinion: kids don’t need more stuff. They need more boredom. More freedom. More outside time. More chances to build a world out of sticks and dirt instead of asking for the next new thing.

I’m not interested in raising a child who expects constant entertainment or new toys. I want to raise one who knows how to create their own magic.
