It’s officially been over a month since I’ve wandered into the blogosphere, but I’m here and I’m ready to get my post on. My absence may or may not have something to do with the fact that I haven’t really been creating any new (photograph-able) projects lately and this one happened to just be sitting in my files from last year.  Lately it seems like all the creating I’ve been doing is for my friend’s children’s birthday parties. Apparently everyone I know has a baby turning the big O-N-E this spring. I guess I missed the memo on that one. My mom must be so disappointed. I swear mom, grandchildren will come one day, just be patient. (I’ve been telling her this for years, at this point I think she’s given up on me).

But enough about my reproduction (or lack there of). Let’s get to the crafting. Since it’s almost April, it’s officially time to get in the Easter spirit. Our house has been decorated for about two weeks now, but I’ll give you a pass if you don’t start decorating until April. I just love the colors of Easter decorations too much to leave them in the closet!

Last year I wanted to come up with a little gift for my coworkers and this one hit the spot. It’s really easy and pretty cheap, which of course is right up my alley. I bought the giant Easter egg and the ceramic bunny from The Dollar Tree, and picked up the most beautiful shade of aqua spray paint at Wal-Mart. I used hot glue to glue the bunny to the top of the egg and spray painted the crap outta that egg. I think the end result turned out pretty cool, definitely unique. It’s a cool decoration too, even if you don’t use it to store candy like I did. But I mean…easy, cheap, and filled with chocolate? Do projects get any better than this?
